Boston Center for Jewish Heritage

The Boston Center for Jewish Heritage at the Vilna Shul is a non-profit organization whose mission is to restore the Vilna Shul and rededicate it as a center for exploring the rich traditions of the American Jewish experience. Sundays 1 - 3 pm.

Boston Common
The oldest public park in America was established in 1633. Since then it has hosted cows, British troops, the nascent American militia, a pope, anti-Viet Nam war demonstrations, sledding and thousands of children swimming in its Frog Pond and thousands of Bostonians skating away the winter. It even hosts cars underground in the Boston Common Garage, entered from Charles Street across from the Public Garden

Boston Public Garden
One of the oldest botanical gardens in the U.S., the 24-acre Public Garden offers Swan Boat rides and the beloved Make Way for Ducklings statues in addition to mature plantings. Beacon Hill's entrance is at Beacon and Charles streets.

Massachusetts State House
The NEW State House, designed by Charles Bulfinch, was built in John Hancock's pasture from 1795 to 1798. Paul Revere's original copper dome is now leafed in gold. The Doric Dames or other volunteers show visitors around from 10 am to 3:30 pm. Meet in Doric Hall. Large groups or those who want a scheduled tour should call 617-727-3676. Free.
